Community-Informed. People-First. Built for Lasting Impact.
ValorCares Foundation was created to help close the gaps that prevent students, families, and communities from accessing the resources and opportunities they need.
Our Story
How ValorCares Began
Bryan and Amanda Sevener founded ValorCares after seeing firsthand how access, or the lack of it, can shape lives. Bryan experienced the power of community support and the doors it could open. Amanda, through her work in education, saw families navigating significant challenges without the resources they needed.
Together, they recognized both a gap and a responsibility. ValorCares Foundation grew from that shared purpose: to listen carefully, connect resources, and build practical systems of support before challenges become crises.

Our Approach
We show up calmly, intentionally, and collaboratively. Our work prioritizes human connection, consistency, responsible stewardship, and solutions shaped by real community input.
Leadership
Meet Our Team
ValorCares is led by a dedicated founding team committed to listening, learning, and building practical support for students, families, and communities across southeastern Wisconsin.

Bryan Sevener
Founder and Chairman
ValorCares Foundation began with a shared belief: when communities listen well and build intentionally, stability grows and opportunity follows.
For Bryan Sevener, that belief was shaped through service.
As a veteran, he experienced firsthand how structure and support can change the direction of a life. Later, through work in education and leadership-as a professor, former school board member, and now CEO of ValorTech-he saw those same principles appear again and again.
In many ways, the early conversations that led to ValorCares began just like this through dialogue, collaboration, and a shared desire to strengthen the community.
Those experiences helped spark the idea of building something more intentional: A foundation focused on listening first and creating support systems designed to last.
That idea would eventually become ValorCares Foundation.

Amanda Sevener
Co-Director
For Amanda Sevener, the importance of stability became clear in the classroom.
Over more than 15 years working in both general and special education, she saw how confidence begins before a lesson starts. It grows when students and their families feel prepared, supported, and able to focus on learning.
She also saw how addressing gaps in access, even in small ways, can quietly shape a student’s experience and success.
This shaped a deep commitment to building environments where students can grow with confidence through access and connection.
Her perspective continues to guide the work of ValorCares today-building support systems that are thoughtful, consistent, and rooted in what families truly need.

Chloe Spenner
Co-Director
For Chloe Spenner, the work is about showing up in the moments that shape a student’s experience.
As an educator, she saw how stability, access, and support come together in everyday interactions-often in ways that go unseen but make a lasting impact.
It’s not always a single moment, but a series of small ones-walking alongside students and families, creating consistency, and helping build confidence over time.
Those experiences helped shape a shared commitment to strengthening support rooted in what communities truly need.
That commitment continues through the work of ValorCares-where support is built with care and carried forward step by step.
Stewardship
Responsible Stewardship
ValorCares Foundation is committed to handling donations, partnerships, personal information, and community relationships responsibly. We work to ensure resources are used thoughtfully and support programs that directly advance our mission.
