Take a Look, Inside a Book

Through this initiative, ValorCares builds, maintains, and restocks Little Free Libraries across southeastern Wisconsin. These libraries provide free, consistent access to books where families live and gather, helping remove barriers to reading and learning.

Purpose: Community Literacy & Access

What We Do

Little Library Creative Program

  • Construct and install Little Free Libraries in neighborhoods, schools, and community spaces

  • Partner with local organizations and businesses for placement

  • Expand access to books in underserved area

Little Library Restocking & Care Program

  • Restock books regularly to ensure continued access

  • Maintain and repair libraries year-round

  • Organize community book drops

  • Support long-term literacy access where families live and gather

  • Donate new or gently used children’s books

  • Donate building materials (wood, paint, hardware, weatherproofing supplies)

  • Sponsor the construction of a Little Free Library

School Supply Partnership & Distribution Program​

  • Partner with businesses and corporations to fund and supply resources

  • Coordinate bulk purchasing and distribution of supplies to schools

  • Ensure consistent, sustainable access to classroom materials

  • Expand reach to underserved classrooms and communities

Holiday Hero Toy Drive support families during the holiday season through respect centered community partnerships that provide gifts for children while reinforcing community care and belonging.

Purpose: Building stability during the holidays encouraging family and community connections.
